Is it a daily struggle to keep your focus and concentration on important tasks? Do you get that afternoon brain ‘blah’ when everything takes twice as long to get done? Perfect Protein Elevated Brain Booster is specifically formulated to support mental focus and stamina. It can be a wonderful aide for students when actively learning new things, as well as when we simply need that extra mental boost to get through our day.

Despite all our best efforts to have balance in our lives, there are times when we need to push through difficult times. And with this often comes more mental fatigue and strain. Lion’s Mane and Rhodiola, two of the key ingredients in Perfect Protein Elevated Brain Booster are great for nourishing and supporting the nervous system and brain. Rhodiola in particular has been shown to reduce mental fatigue and improve performance on work-related tasks by 20% [1].

What’s the biggest cause of mental strain? You guessed it, stress! So a brain boosting formula definitely needs to include some stress support. Rhodiola is a stimulating herb that helps us to better cope with the demands of stress in our lives, helping us feel less tired and overwhelmed. And the B vitamins have been studied for their protective effect from stress, with people experiencing less self-perceived stress and significantly lower confusion and dejected mood [2].

Protein provides us with the building blocks to synthesize and repair body tissues, including muscles. Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), which are found in good concentrations in this formula, are of particular importance for this. This plant-based protein powder is helpful if you are wanting to maintain and even build healthy muscle mass. Protein is especially important after exercise [3], to repair damaged muscle and help it grow back stronger. Research tells us that eating protein before and after exercise helps increase muscle recovery, promote muscle building and can even reduce muscle ache.

Protein Blend

Quinoa is an outstanding nutritional powerhouse. It has the highest protein content of all grains (although technically not a grain) and unlike most plant-based sources of protein, it provides a complete protein, which means it contains all the essential amino acids. Paired with Brown rice, we have a complete, well balanced protein for our everyday needs.

Brown Rice
Brown Rice

Botanica’s organic brown rice is treated with organic enzymes to support ease of digestion and to help break down some of the starch and fiber thereby naturally increasing the final protein content.

Coconut was chosen for this formula in part to support a balanced protein profile, and largely for its yummy goodness that gives the powder a smooth and creamy texture.

Lion’s Mane has received its common name from its appearance as it has some resemblance to a lion’s mane and is often correlated with the look of the human brain and nervous system. It is an edible medicinal mushroom that has been referred to as the ‘smart mushroom’ for its ability to enhance cognitive function and mood [1]. In fact, Lion’s Mane has come to be considered a super star when it comes to brain and nervous system health.

Rhodiola is a wonderful adaptogen, which means it’s a herb that helps us to better resist the challenges of stress, passing through life’s demands with a little more ease and relaxation. Frequently asked questions

Can this formula replace some of my herbal supplements?

Yes, it contains therapeutic dosages and has been formulated with Naturopathic doctors & Herbalists. It is still always wise to follow up with your practitioner if needed.

Can this formula be taken if I’m on medication?

For the most part, yes, although it should be taken 2 hours away from your medications. Follow up with your practitioner if you have any concerns.

Can I take this formula for an extended period of time?

Yes, these are superfood nutrients used traditionally for centuries and have a tonifying effect on the body. Having said that, it is always a good idea to take mini breaks of a couple of weeks on and off every couple of months or so with any herbal protocols; they tend to be most effective that way.

Where is the Lion's Mane mushroom sourced from?

USA (Pacific Northwest).

Is the Lion's Mane mushroom from fruiting body or mycelium?

It is from the primordia – the mushroom sprout. It offers all of the vitality and therapeutic value of the mycelia as well as the constituents found in the mature fruit body.

Do I need to refrigerate my Perfect Proteins?

No need to refrigerate the Perfect Proteins. We actually wouldn't recommend it as it won't help extend its shelf life, and it will most likely add moisture to the powder, which can create clumps. You can store your proteins in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.

What is organic monk fruit extract and why is it added?

Monk fruit is a sweet-tasting plant, also known as Luo Han Guo. Organic monk fruit extract enhances the flavour of our superfood beverages without the addition of sugar, stevia, or artificial flavours.

Why does Botanica Perfect Protein Elevated contain organic acacia gum, and is it difficult to digest?

We have made this recent addition to some of our formulas in order to improve the texture & blend-ability where needed. Our goal is always to deliver the best taste & texture experience to our customers, while ensuring that our products are Certified Organic and free of unwanted fillers. Organic acacia gum is known to be easy to digest and tolerated by even the most sensitive tummy.

Can Botanica Perfect Protein Elevated be used in baking or cooking?

Yes, Perfect Protein Elevated can be used in baking or cooking, for example, for the preparation of muffins, breads, cookies or bars. However, the product may lose some nutritional value when exposed to very high heat.

As a proud B-Corp business, we’ve made this decision in order to ensure a positive impact on the environment by using less plastic. The recommended serving sizes remain the same. We have simply changed the directions on the label, shifting from scoops to tablespoons or teaspoons depending on the formula.
