We have simply changed the directions on the label, shifting from scoops to tablespoons or teaspoons depending on the formula.

To preserve maximum antioxidant content and ORAC value, we recommend using Perfect Greens at a maximum of ambient temperature and consuming it immediately upon mixing. Unfortunately, cooking heat, even below boiling point, does destroy antioxidants.

Perfect Greens should be stored at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and in a dry location. It may also be stored in the refrigerator after opening if preferred.

Wheat leaves, or grass, do not contain gluten. Gluten is found in the berry (the grain). All the ingredients in our Perfect Greens as well as the finished product are tested for gluten. All batches need to contain less than 20 parts per million of gluten to meet the Health Canada requirement to be noted as gluten free. The facility where the product is manufactured does not work with gluten, but it is important to note that because of the agricultural nature of the ingredients, this product is at higher risk for gluten contamination - the main concerns here would be wheat grass, barley grass, and oat grass at the ingredient supplier level (if the delivery truck is also used to carry barley grain, for example). So even though we do test and make sure the product contains less than 20 parts per million of gluten, it most likely does contain very tiny amounts of gluten. Meaning that If you have an allergy to gluten, we would err on the side of caution and recommend refraining from taking our Perfect Greens.

There are no medicinal herbs in Perfect Greens, so it's safe for the whole family. If the child is old enough to be eating a good variety of foods, then they should tolerate the powdered greens well. Likely around 2 years of age. Taste might be the bigger challenge for the little ones. We recommend 1/2 scoop for children aged 6-12 yrs, 1/4 scoop for 4-6 yrs, and a pinch in their food for under 4yrs.
