I’m always expanding my protein balls recipe collection, as it’s an easy and delicious way to meet my clients’ protein goals. They are also a great pre-workout snack alternative to the protein bars that are often full of added sugars and unpronounceable ingredients.
Botanica’s Perfect Protein Elevated Brain Booster has been my long-time favourite thanks to its pea protein-free formula and the addition of Lion’s Mane (cognitive health) and Rhodiola (stress adaptation) for when I need a little extra support.
1 serving (about 4) of these decadent protein balls packs 16 grams of protein and 20 grams of healthy fats, helping stabilize blood sugar, curb cravings, and maintain stable energy throughout the day.

Ingredients:
For 8 balls:
- ⅓ cup raisins
- ½ cup almond meal
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp Perfect Protein Elevated Brain Booster powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- A small pinch of sea salt
- Cocoa powder, sesame seeds or pieces of roasted nuts for rolling
Directions:
- Soak raisins in hot water for 5 minutes. Drain well and place in a food processor/blender along with cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and tahini. Blitz into a smooth paste.
- Add almond meal, cocoa powder, and protein powder and blend again until well combined.
- Scoop ~1 heaped tsp of the paste per ball and roll about 8 balls. Roll each ball into cocoa powder, sesame seeds, or toasted nuts (or all of them). Leave in the fridge for 30+ minutes to allow them to set.
