Ashwagandha has a long and rich history in India as a medicinal herb. It is a wonderful overall tonic to help boost energy reserves and promote health. As a powerful adaptogen, it helps one adapt to the challenges and demands of stress, supporting our vitality and energy. Many adaptogens are stimulating, but Ashwagandha is quite a calming adaptogen. With its additional nervine properties, this root is very effective as a sleep aid [1] when taken up to 30 mins before bed.
