Goldenseal has a long tradition of use as an antibacterial and treatment for upper respiratory infections. As it is bitter, Goldenseal has also been used to stimulate digestion and absorption.
Our unique liquid herbs are crafted through an advanced spagyric process to create the most bioavailable herbs. First, herbs are soaked in organic alcohol. When time has allowed the plant to dissolve, the remaining matter is reduced without chemicals to a white ash rich in trace minerals and then rejoined with the original extract. It’s time-consuming but the end result is a herbal formula with all the valuable minerals present in the plant’s natural state.
Wildcrafted Goldenseal root (Hydrastis canadensis) equiv. to 12.5 mg per drop. Per 20 drops (1 mL): Equiv. to 250 mg.
Non-medicinal ingredients: certified organic alcohol, distilled water.
20–30 drops (1–1.5mL) taken 3 times per day. Best taken with five deep, slow breaths.
Consult a health practitioner if pregnant or breastfeeding.
What is the source of alcohol used in Botanica tinctures?
Botanica uses certified organic USP pharmaceutical grade non-GMO corn-derived ethyl alcohol as an extraction method. The alcohol enhances absorption of the herbal constituents in the body and the tinctures have a dosage that can easily be varied if necessary.
Is the new packaging, specifically the boxes for the liquid herbs sustainably made?
Rest assured, our boxes are recyclable, made with FSC-certified post-consumer paper, and printed with vegetable-based ink.
