Ancient Greeks and Romans called black walnut fruit the “imperial nut” and reportedly used the hull to treat intestinal ailments and ate the nuts for their rich Omega 3 essential fatty acid content, vitamin C and flavour.
Our unique liquid herbs are crafted through an advanced spagyric process to create the most bioavailable herbs. First, herbs are soaked in organic alcohol. When time has allowed the plant to dissolve, the remaining matter is reduced without chemicals to a white ash rich in trace minerals and then rejoined with the original extract. It’s time-consuming but the end result is a herbal formula with all the valuable minerals present in the plant’s natural state.
Certified organic Black Walnut hulls (juglans nigra), wildcrafted Elecampane Root (inula helenium ), certified organic Quassia Wood (picraena excelsa), certified organic Sweet Annie herb (artemesia annua).
Non-medicinal ingredients: certified organic alcohol, vegetable glycerin, distilled water.
40–60 drops (2–3mL) taken up to 3–4 times per day while symptoms persist. Best taken with five deep, slow breaths.
What is the source of alcohol used in Botanica tinctures?
Botanica uses certified organic USP pharmaceutical grade non-GMO corn-derived ethyl alcohol as an extraction method. The alcohol enhances absorption of the herbal constituents in the body and the tinctures have a dosage that can easily be varied if necessary.
Is the new packaging, specifically the boxes for the liquid herbs sustainably made?
Rest assured, our boxes are recyclable, made with FSC-certified post-consumer paper, and printed with vegetable-based ink.
