You’ve likely heard of the trendy Mont Blanc dessert but here’s my better-for-you matcha twist on it. I used Japanese sweet potatoes, matcha and Botanica Health’s Perfect Greens Superfruit powder to create cute Christmas trees! Choose any base – digestive biscuits, pie crust, sheet cake or cookies and stuff the centre with a chestnut or strawberry.

Perfect Greens Mont Blanc Dessert
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
- 8g (one scoop) Perfect Greens Superfruit
- 6 whole ready-to-eat chestnuts
- 225g Japanese sweet potato, steamed and mashed
- 1.5 tsp matcha powder
- 4 tbsp cream (paste)
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
- ¾ cup whipping cream
Directions
- Mix sweet potato, Perfect Greens Superfruit, matcha, maple syrup, and cream together until smooth. Place the paste in a piping bag fitted with a small decorating tip.
- Make stiff peaks out of the whipping cream and put it in a piping bag. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Assemble:
- Add a dollop of whipping cream to the center of the base. Add a chestnut on top of the cream.
- As you pipe around the chestnut, move upward, forming a triangular tree shape at its edges.
- Pipe the matcha paste around and on the whipping cream until fully covered
- Decorations: add sprinkles and icing sugar for a whimsical holiday look.
- Enjoy!
